Pre-Removal Risk Assessment (PRRA)

If you are being removed from Canada, you may be eligible to apply for PRRA to ensure you are not removed to a country where you would be in danger of torture or cruel and unusual treatment, you would be at risk of persecution, or there would be a risk to your life. I can assist you in preparing and submitting your PRRA application.

Group of Five Refugee Sponsorships

A group of five or more Canadian citizens or permanent residents can collectively sponsor a refugee living abroad to resettle in Canada as a permanent resident. I provide group of five sponsorship groups with legal assistance in preparing and submitting their sponsorship application.

Cessation of Refugee Protection or Vacation of Refugee Decision

Certain federal government ministers can apply to the Immigration and Refugee Board (IRB) for an order to take away someone’s status as a Convention refugee or a person in need of protection. If you are facing a cessation or vacation hearing, I can assist with:

  • Challenging a vacation application before the IRB
